CMA can present with a variety of symptoms generally affecting the respiratory tract (e.g. sneezing, wheezing etc.), the skin (e.g. skin rash, eczema etc.) and the gastrointestinal tract (e.g. vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation).
Sarcopenia is a geriatric syndrome defined as the loss of muscle mass, strength and function in the elderly. It has a high clinical impact and also affects a patient's quality of life, as it leads to a decline in mobility and independence (Cruz-Jentoft, A. et al. 2010)
